Since we began in 1997 which was separated from the department of pathology, the department of Laboratory Medicine has been one of the critical part of health care. The results obtained by these laboratory tests have been vital tools for physicians in their diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.

Our department supports the Medical School’s educational mission through a variety of lectures and clerkship program such as basic principles of diagnostic method, infectious diseases, hematology-oncology, allergy & rheumatology, diagnostic hematology, flow cytometry, clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, diagnostic immunology, transfusion medicine, molecular genetics, cytogenetics, genetic counseling, laboratory informatics and laboratory automation.

Our faculty participate in a wide range of research projects in addition to management of each division of the laboratory.
